Terms and Conditions

1. On receipt by us of your completed booking form and deposit your holiday will be reserved for you. Your booking is taken to be confirmed and accepted in respect of all persons travelling when we despatch our invoice to the person signing the booking form.
2. A non-refundable deposit of £100.00 per person must accompany your completed booking form showing all clients. The signing of the booking form confirms that he or she has the authority of all other persons included in the holiday to make the booking on their behalf and that he or she has read and accepted these booking terms and conditions. The deposit is accepted as part payment towards the total cost of the holiday.
3. The remaining balance of the cost of the holiday must be paid no later than 10 weeks before your departure date, or as we may otherwise specify. If you place your booking less than 10 weeks prior to your departure date the total cost of your holiday must be paid in full at the time of booking.
4. If we do not receive full payment 10 weeks prior to departure we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and any monies paid will be forfeited and a cancellation charge may be levied in accordance with paragraph 5.
5. In the event you cancel your confirmed booking, it can only be accepted if it is in writing from the person who signed the booking form, and the following cancellations charges will apply
   1. Cancellation fee for more than 56 Days prior to departure = deposit only
   2. Cancellation fee for between 55 – 30 Days prior to departure = 50% of the total cost
   3. Cancellation fee for less than 30 Days prior to departure = full cost of the holiday
6. All passport. Visa and Health Certificate requirements are your sole responsibility and we accept no responsibility for any delay or expense incurred through any irregularity in your documents.
7. We reserve the right to immediately terminate the services we contracted to provide if we, our employees or agents or any persons affiliated with Fishing in France or on any vehicle or craft judge your behavior to be likely to cause discomfort or harm to our other clients or other persons or property. If because of such behavior you are prevented by our carrier from traveling, our contractual obligations under these conditions will terminate immediately. In either case any appropriate cancellation fee will apply and we will not be liable to you for any refund, compensation, any costs or damage which you may incur.
8. Clearwater Lakes: We will not be held liable for loss or delay occasioned by any of the following: Strikes, Political Unrest, Riots, Port Closures, War or threat of, Terrorist Activity, Industrial Disputes, Fire, Flood, Technical/Weather problems to transportation, Acts of God or any other event(s) beyond our control.
9. Children aged 12 years and over are permitted to fish at the lakes. Please note ALL children under the age of 18 must be accompanied at all times by a paying adult angler.
10. Wherever possible, any changes to the booking requested after written confirmation of booking is sent out to you will be allowed.
11. The holiday booked may not be re-assigned. Only the persons shown on the booking form may travel. Pets are not allowed.
12. Jurisdiction: Signature on the booking form constitutes acceptance of a contract on these terms subject to French Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the French Courts.
13. 14. In the event of complaint: If you believe you have cause for complaint whilst on holiday, the grievance must be notified to the Clearwater Lake Balif (+33 675292520 ) in the first instance.
14. The person signing the booking form should have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions. Please note that these Booking Terms and Conditions also apply to all bookings made for The Cottage. Deposits are accepted on the strict undertaking that this action has been taken.

Cottage Letting Conditions

The following letting conditions also apply to visitors booking the cottage:

1. Keys will be available from 2pm on the day of arrival and returnable by 10:30am on the day of departure.
2. The cottage sleeps up to 4 persons (One double and one twin bedroom) and must not be exceeded.
3. The cottage is equipped with crockery, kitchen utensils, pillows, bedding, duvets, etc. sufficient for the number of occupants. Please note you are required to bring your own towels.
4. Clearwater lakes shall not be liable for any fault or breakdown of any mechanical, electrical or any other items of equipment, goods or property, but we shall do our best to endeavor to repair or replace within a reasonable time.
5. On departure a visit will be carried out with the client present. The cottage must be left clean and tidy including cooker, fridge and other equipment. A claim against the security deposit may be made for damage or lack of reasonable cleanliness found on departure and any breakages. The security deposit will be refunded (by cheque) in full to the group organiser on departure, providing the aforementioned criteria are not in question. Please note it may be necessary to delay the repayment if estimates/invoices are required for work/replacement of items.
6. Property and veichels are left at owners own risk
7. The lakes are very peaceful and tranquil. Please respect other anglers if you, your group members or children visit your party at the lakeside. All children under 18 years of age must be fully supervised and accompanied at ALL times whilst visiting party members on either lake by an adult.
